- Ship USD = max(forwarder min, weight × $/kg) × category surcharge.
- Landed local = buy + shipping + duty estimate + marketplace logistics.
- Sell price is set so that after marketplace fee you hit the target margin (~30% in the example).
Local market notes
Customs / import: Commercial import (not Remessa Conforme): II 35% general / 50% electronics and batteries (calculator preset, not NCM). Remessa Conforme is a B2C parcel program — do not use it for a resale lot. Not EU IVA.
Tax: ICMS ~18% on CIF+II is in the cost stack (state average). PIS/COFINS (and sometimes IPI) are extra, not in the stack number. CNPJ for serious resale.
Marketplaces: Mercado Livre — Mercado Envios, full/logística própria; frete grátis competition.
Shipping: Correios; 2–6 week holds; disinfection on some parcels.
Compliance: ANVISA for cosmetics/health, ANATEL for telecom/RF, INMETRO on many goods. Mercado Livre refuses listings without the matching mark.
