Wholesale planning estimate
Wholesale example: electronics📱 Wireless earbuds
Purchase in the United States: $49.99 · Weight: 0.25 kg · Quantity 5 · Category factor: ×1
Freight for the lot: $11.00 for 5 units. The minimum applies to the whole lot.
The figure on the country card is the country preset. It is not the personal-supply cap and it is not the category rate. The example uses the wholesale category rate. Electronics entering the European Union or the United Kingdom are often charged at 0 percent. Apparel is often charged at about 12 percent. For Brazil, electronics and batteries use 50 percent, and other goods use 35 percent. This example is a wholesale planning estimate for five units at a target margin of 30 percent. The freight minimum applies to the whole lot. It is not the personal-supply calculation, and it is not the profit shown on the calculator headline.
Please observe the rules for lithium batteries, the marketplace return rates, and regional or serial restrictions.
How the estimate is built
- Freight for the lot, in US dollars, is the greater of the freight minimum and the weight multiplied by the quantity and by the rate per kilogram. The minimum applies to the whole lot. The amount per unit is that total divided by the quantity. A sale inside the United States does not add this freight.
- If the category factor is above 1, the extra charge is the freight multiplied by that factor minus 1. The whole freight is not multiplied by the factor.
- The landed cost per unit is the purchase, plus freight per unit, plus category duty, plus tax, plus the category extra, plus marketplace logistics. The sell price is set so that, after the marketplace fee, the margin equals the target. The example uses 30 percent and a quantity of 5.
Personal supply and wholesale supply
The calculator has two modes. The figures in the example follow wholesale supply.
Personal supply. Up to €150 there is no duty. Above that limit, the category duty applies to the whole lot. Value-added tax still applies below the limit.
Wholesale supply, Portugal. Duty and tax apply from the first unit. The preset tax in this stack is 23 percent (IVA).

Checks before purchase
- Please repeat the calculation with the actual weight and the actual purchase price. Preset rates do not replace the invoice.
- Please compare similar listings on the marketplace. A target margin is not a market price.
- Please account for returns, certifications, and restrictions on lithium batteries and liquids.
- The dollar exchange rate changes. Please leave a reserve in the rate.
Categories for this market
Please observe the rules for lithium batteries, the marketplace return rates, and regional or serial restrictions.
Weight and dimensions increase the freight charge. Authenticity should be verified for the local marketplace.
For heavy goods, the charge per kilogram often exceeds the freight minimum. Please confirm compatibility with the local market.
Air-cargo restrictions and surcharges on liquids can remove a narrow margin.
Lithium rules increase the shipping cost. Some routes prohibit these goods or delay them.
